Greetings, Lake Elkhorn families:

Over the past two weeks, I have had the pleasure of being able to see many of our students shine through extracurricular activities. Band, chorus and orchestra performed extremely will at the countywide assessments, while Debate and MESA (Math Engineering Science Achievement) competed at the respective countywide competitions. In fact, both teams qualified for the state competition! Students showed LEMS PRIDE by behaving extremely well and performing at a high level. Thank you to Mr. Bond, Mr. Gatz, Mr. Rea, Ms. Bilal, and Ms. Retterer for your dedication to supporting student achievement!

Science Fair was a hit yesterday. Students showed off their hard work in a fine display of amazing projects in the cafeteria. Thank you to Mr. Gatz and the science team for your time and effort to prepare students and to grade the projects.

Just one week left in Quarter 3! Please check Canvas for missing assignments and communicate with teachers regarding any misunderstandings. Please remember that schools close 3 hours early (11:45) next Friday, April 7, and we return from spring break on Tuesday, April 18.

With Eagle PRIDE,

Martin Vandenberge

Principal
