Mr. Wallace has been an educator for 19 years. He began his career in Baltimore County Public Schools as a high school mathematics teacher before coming to HCPSS in 2007 where he taught math and social studies at the Homewood Center. Mr. Wallace has been in school administration for more than a decade, serving in various capacities as a Leadership Intern, Assistant Principal, and Principal. He has worked at Oakland Mills Middle School (2010-2012); Comprehensive Summer School Program (2012); Oakland Mills High School (2012-2020); Thomas Viaduct Middle School (2020-2022); and is now serving in his second year as Principal of Lake Elkhorn Middle School. Over the years Mr. Wallace has been active within the Howard County community as a Youth Minister at Mt. Pisgah AME Church (Columbia, MD) and has served as President of the Howard County Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. (2008-2010). Mr. Wallace loves working with kids and believes children need trusted adults who care about them as they navigate adolescence to adulthood. He and his wife live in Ellicott City with their two children, who are students in the HCPSS. He is honored to continue to serve at Lake Elkhorn MS and its broader community.
