Spring 2021 "Eagle Hour" After-School Activities

This spring, Lake Elkhorn is offering various virtual after school programs through our Eagle Hour After School Program (ASP). All programs are dedicated to student engagement and development.

Eagle Hour will now run from March 29 thru May 31, 2021, on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons (3:45 – 4:45 PM). Each assigned activity will be administered via Google Meet. Check out our available programs (listed below) and sign up today by completing this form! We hope to see you there!

Spring Eagle Hour Programs:

  • Emerging Young Leaders (EYL) - Are you an aspiring leader who desires to aid your local community? If so, then joining the Emerging Young Leaders (EYL) program may be for you! All participants will participate in enriching discussions and activities that strengthen their leadership, educational, civic engagement and character building skills. EYL participants will also learn to interact using Robert’s Rules of Order in sessions where group norms are observed. The pillars of the virtual EYL are experienced in a framework that will emphasize the important contributions of the Harlem Renaissance.  Tuesdays / 3:45 - 4:45 PM
 
  • Regal Eagles - Boys Mentoring Program (RE) - Are you a young male who is looking to participate in a mentoring program that focuses on goal setting, character building, and strengthening bonds between your peers and the adults in your life? If so, then the Regal Eagle Boys Mentoring Program is for you! Thursdays / 3:45 - 4:45 PM
 
  • LEMS Student Government Association (SGA) - Are you interested in aiding our school community, encouraging school spirit and learning about democratic principles? If so, then look no further! Join the LEMS SGA today! As a student-run organization that represents the entire student body, the LEMS SGA allows students to express concerns and take a stand on important issues within our school’s community.  Thursdays / 3:45 - 4:45 PM
 
  • Spanish Club (SC) - Are you currently enrolled in a Spanish class, are a Spanish speaker or are interested in Spanish-speak culture and language? If so, then the Spanish Club is for you! Through active participation in the Spanish Club, students will unite in their appreciation for the Hispanic culture and its people. Spanish Club members will be actively involved in experiences that promote and/or preserve cultural diversity, as well as develop healthy leadership and interpersonal skills. The Spanish Club is open to all students at Lake Elkhorn Middle School, regardless of his or her level & ability in Spanish. Tuesdays / 3:45 - 4:45 PM
