Time is running out!

Nominate a student by 5pm ET, Wednesday, December 21, 2016

Do you know a student at your school who deserves a $1,000 college scholarship?
  Are they in grades 4-11?
Do they have at least a 3.75 GPA and humanitarian qualities?

If you've answered 'YES' to all of these questions, then keep reading and nominate a student below!

Nominate a student for the 2017 Carson Scholars Program for there chance to be awarded a $1,000 college scholarship.  Only one student from your school can be nominated for this prestigious award unless otherwise told by a CSF staff member. Please be aware that other educators at your school may also have access to the nomination form – still only one student per school can be nominated. You must nominate a new student – one who has not previously been named a Carson Scholar.

After you have reviewed our Nomination Rules and Policies and a student has been selected for nomination, please complete the Nomination Form. The nomination form asks for your nominee’s contact information, GPA and your school information. Once your nominee is approved, you will receive a confirmation email and within 24 hours of approval he/she will receive an email with a link to the full application. Please remember that nominating a student is not a guarantee of an award. The sooner you nominate a student, the more time they have to complete the online application.

Our scholarship program is open to students in grades 4 through 11 who have at least a 3.75 GPA (for the current school year) and are involved in community service. If you would like to view our essay questions so that you can use them as part of your nomination process, or need other suggestions regarding how to nominate a student, visit our website for Nomination Tips and Essay Questions. Please make sure to review our GPA calculation rulesbefore deciding on a nominee, as they may differ from how you normally calculate a GPA. The student’s application will be disqualified if they do not meet our GPA requirement.

Here is an overview of the entire online process:

  1. The school nominates a student and completes the online nomination form. Deadline: 5pm ET, Wednesday, December 21, 2016. Within 24 hours of nomination approval, the student will receive an email with a link to the online application.
